Privacy Policy
Effective July 23, 2026
Dink Data is built by one player, for players. It is not a data business. The short version: your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. I run no servers, collect nothing, and can't see your data even if I wanted to.
What the app stores, and where
- Match and stat data (scores, games, stats like unforced errors, player names you enter, venues) is stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- iCloud sync. If iCloud is enabled, your data syncs through your personal iCloud account so it survives reinstalls and moves between your devices. This storage belongs to your Apple Account; I have no access to it.
- Settings (your name, custom stats, trial start date) are stored on-device and in your iCloud key-value storage.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, no sign-up, no email collection.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind.
- No data is sent to me or to any third party.
- No selling of data; there is nothing to sell.
Apple Watch, Health, and motion
- The app does not use HealthKit. It never requests Health access, and no workout, health, or fitness data is read, recorded, or saved to the Health app — Dink Data is a scoreboard, not a workout.
- The app does not read the watch's motion sensors. Scoring and stat logging are plain taps and swipes on screen.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased and managed entirely through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and shares no payment details with me. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles purchase data.
Your data, your control
Deleting the app removes its local data. To remove synced data as well, delete Dink Data's data from iCloud in Settings on your device (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage).
Children
Dink Data does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. It collects none at all.
Your rights
If you live in the EU, UK, California, or another place with data-protection rights, you can ask about, access, or request deletion of personal data. Because the app collects nothing server-side, there is normally nothing to produce or delete: your data lives on your devices and in your own iCloud account, under your control. Requests and questions still welcome at support@dinkdata.app.
Changes
If this policy ever changes (for example, if the app gains an online feature), the update will be posted here with a new effective date before it takes effect.
